Red Seal is Canada's interprovincial trade certification. To earn it, a refrigeration mechanic completes a multi-year apprenticeship and passes a national exam covering refrigeration theory, electrical, controls, brazing, and safe handling of refrigerants.

In practice it means the person sizing your heat pump, running your refrigerant lines, and signing off on the install actually knows what they're doing — and that the work meets the standard your insurance, your warranty, and your manufacturer expect.

Both owners of Black & White Refrigeration hold the Red Seal. There's no junior tech sent in their place.
